
What is Putt Struck: A music neon-themed mini golf course located in Okoboji, Iowa
Problem Statement: I noticed in Okoboji, there is no safe place for young adults (16-20) to hang out after 8 pm that doesn’t have a bunch of little kids running around or isn’t a bar they can not walk into.
Competitors: Treasure Village and Pirates Cove are both mini golf courses in the area, but are always filled with little kids and high prices. Treasure Village has 27 holes while Pirates Cove has 18. Each course closes by 9 pm, so no activities are open late.
Target Demographic: Ages 16-20 (young adults)
Design Process: I used Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to design the billboard, badges, score cards, and pins, and set all the projects up in InDesign. I used Figma to create an app and website that is a clickable prototype.
Solution: I made Putt Struck a mini golf course that is unique, with an After Glow special that is for people age 16+ to enjoy mini golf from 6 pm- 12 am. The golf course would bring a new attraction to the area and focus on that missing age demographic.

Website: I started to create my color palette, icons, patterns, and more first while working on my website. I created the website in Figma and made 6 tabs. Designing the website helped me choose fonts that fit well together and colors that look good in one place. The site has navigation and clickable buttons that bring users from one screen to the other. I used black and white backgrounds to make all my colors pop while making the website feel clean and organized.

Merch: I created score cards, VIP badges, and pins. I used blurred photos across touchpoints, but the cards and badges show it off the best. I used the blurred photos for depth and to create a sense of realism to my brand.
App: The prototype app was created in Figma and has full navigation. I used a simple black background to make the screens look clean but added the fun colors to make the app fun and functional. I made 5 main screens that have multiple screens within them.


Posters: These posers advertise theme nights at the golf course. Each poster shows off a new theme with three icons that represent that theme.








Instagram Carousel: The 8 squares create one long image. I used a bouncing line to connect each square and create movement. I use the line throughout other touchpoints, so each product is connected in some way.
